Stamp resolution

Hi. I’m new to 3D. Could someone tell me the best resolution for making Stamps in Nomad?

My take on it is that it kinda depends on how you want to use it.

For example, if you are making one for skin pores, 256 is plenty since the detail is pretty tiny in relation to your mesh. You would be more limited by your mesh resolution. Like having a 1k (or even 512) for pore detail on a head mesh that has only 2-4 million polys would likely be overkill.

But if you want to drag out a stamp across a large area or if it’s something very complex like greebles, having a bigger texture will help capture extra detail, especially if you have geometry to support it.

I also think that it shouldn’t matter too much if your worried about performance…at least I haven’t noticed any. Although I haven’t used anything over 1k, so your mileage may vary.
