My workflow is multiple saved views for front, side views, and back each saved with own reference. For the saved views I start with a close follow of the references to get proportions right.
When importing references I often have the issue where I don’t account enough for the Nomad UI leaving parts of the mesh out of view. I see there’s a reference transform option but there’s a few issues with that on iPad. Mainly the issue is that I can’t apply the exact same transform to each reference. Looks like this wasn’t always the case Background/Refrence enhancements Also, it doesn’t look like there’s any sort of snapping and the transform only allows touch manipulation so I end up with slight rotations. Also, not an issue but I did notice that on iPad the apple keyboard glyphs for option and ctrl (I think?) are shown which is confusing.
Is there another way to achieve this workflow of uniformly scaling and translating the background references? I know about the plane and UV approach; I do like the background reference. Lately what I’ve been doing is just adding universal padding to the images by guessing but it’s tedious.

Yes there is a way but unfortunately you can use only once. SO FAR as I know and I am trying the same.
I just started to do the same.
If I found how to lock forever until I unlock the camera I will tell you!
I almost there. Wait a bit.
HOLLY GROOVY!
I have it!
It is difficult so I need to have a constant result.
I will come back to you!
This isn’t quite what I’m asking. The problem I’m running in to is that when I’m preparing references for multiple camera angles I want to maximize the image details (the reference model in the image, not the image dimensions) and the Nomad UI is getting in the way. So without a way to scale all reference images consistently in Nomad I have to sort of guess how much padding I should give the image during preparation (either proper photo editor on desktop or Procreate if I’m lazy). The underlying issue is kind of solved now as I just give myself a very large amount of padding to ensure that I have enough room to use the gizmos, but I still think the feature itself to uniformly scale all the reference images (and with locked rotation or something like that) is valuable.
Sorry if I’m confused, I just use my fingers, pinch to scale.
Yes, but the issue is how to consistently apply the transform created by pinching to multiple different reference images? And how to accidentally not introduce slight rotations.
I just use the reset for rotation.
Are you aware that further down on the reference panel you can manually control position, scale and rotation?
I see now, just tried it and that works. I initially assumed it was something else since it was placed after the “Reference image” section and the “Sync on camera lock” section.
