Repositioning the Stamp in Lock + Radius Mode

I’ve noticed that when using the Lock + Radius mode in the stamp tool, I can adjust the scale and rotation of the alpha before applying it. However, I haven’t found a way to translate or move the stamp independently across the mesh before committing the stroke.

Has anyone discovered a workflow or setting that allows for moving the stamp (i.e., repositioning the alpha) after initiating the stroke? Is this functionality planned for a future update, or is there a recommended workaround?

Any insights or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry for bumping this but I have a technique for this. Yes I wish there was a way to adjust the stamp in one step. The best workaround I have come up with is to use the mask tool with the alpha you want to stamp, then extract it as a new object. Now you can move it around if it isn’t lined up perfectly, and you can even rotate or scale. Once you have it right, you can Boolean / voxel remesh it with your base object or just leave it separate.

Note: this method works best on flat surfaces. Curved surfaces will probably be possible if you use layers and the reproject function.
