I’m not sure if this is a bug or the intended design. When hiding the vertex paint in a scene, it also hides masks. I’ve found that masking with the paint on can be difficult with the colors making the selection less readable. I am not sure if more people agree, but I think it would be great to make masking independent from vertex paint.
Yep I hesitated and wasn’t sure what the ideal solution should be.
I reverted the change in 1.35 Nomad Change Log - #9 by stephomi
Maybe in the future I’ll add a “hide mask” checkbox but for now the mask is always visible.
