Hi there, I’m having trouble keeping Dynamic Topology constant scale consistent between objects.
When I scale an object down, dyn topo scale also scales down. This makes sense so far, I assume I need to bake the scale of the object to make the matrix have a scale of 1.0 again. However, even after doing this dyn topo scale remains scaled-down.
Is there something else I need to do, or is this a bug?
Maybe join helps…
Join the objects → dyna remesh → then seperate the objects.
Then detail is the same.
Thanks for the reply! Gave that a try, but unfortunately after separating the objects the same issue persists (the smaller sphere once again has a smaller dyn topo scale). Joining them works for doing a remesh, but for further dyn topo work it’s a no go.
I assume that by dynamic scale value you mean the adjustable detail value. However, I don’t think this has anything to do with scaling itself. Instead, it’s related to the volume of the object. If you have a large sphere, you get a different numerical value than with a small sphere. As far as I understand, this depends on the object’s volume, not on its scaling.
If that’s the case, that’s an issue IMO. I guess this is a bug report/feature request then.
I can’t imagine why it would be desirable for every object in a scene to have different dyn topo scaling?
