Perhaps there could be an option for randomness in the insert tool.
It would be really practical for some repeating objects if, for example, the scaling would change automatically or the rotation around the axis…
I also know that - holding the Instance / Clone button allows an infinite number of insert actions - but it would be better this way if there was a checkbox for this.

how does the “holding the instance/clone button” trick work?
Press & hold the instance or clone button in the side menu.
But I mixed this infinity feature with the transform tool.
Insert tool doesn’t work properly at the moment…hopefully it gets fixed before any additional randomness 
Nothing will get fixed if you don’t say what’s wrong.
There is no known issue with Insert tool,
Also no need to hold the instance/clone for Insert, its only for transform/gizmo that you need to hold it.
