After the update, Nomad started uncontrollably consuming memory on my iPad and now weighs more than 100 gigabytes. I tried unloading the app, deleted unnecessary models, turned off renderers, and reduced the number of polygons in the models, but the app hasn’t reduced in size at all. What should I do? This problem only appeared after the update. At the same time, the 3D models themselves weigh no more than 100–150 megabytes. I deleted most of the saved 3D models, and there aren’t that many left, so this is clearly some kind of update error. Also, I can’t export the files or save the render — when I try to do this, the app crashes to the desktop.
I meant the memory on the iPad itself; I even had to delete some apps so that my iPad would work properly. I didn’t increase the history storage limit and didn’t mess with the settings in any way. After I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, it’s now version 2.12.1.
I was thinking the “data” folder since it saves the history for each project.
By default up to 1GB per project, and you seem to duplicate lot of projects.
So maybe disable history saving if you don’t need it (or reduce storage limit, that’s 1GB per project). Note that you need to resave each project so that history on disk for this project is deleted.
(if it’s too bothersome, you can delete the whole “data” folder, but only if you don’t use autosave)
Thank you for your help, it seems I’ll really have to save the files and uninstall the app. Something very strange is happening. I’ll write back if the problem is resolved or not once I’ve done this
