Docking most used brushes

It’d make the sculpting process much faster if one could dock most used brushes on the screen anywhere. Maybe 4 or 5 most used burshes dcoked near the left bottom/top corner in horizontal order.

Just move your favorites to the top of the tool list?

Yes, I have but it’s on the right of the screen and in vertical order. The size and intensity slider , smooth , mask , gizmo , hide tools are on the left. You have to go back and forth from left to right across the screen to select a new brush every time. But if one could dock a few brushes and in horizontal order just next to the left tool bar, I believe that would significantly decrease the sculpting time.

This is just a personal opinion. It may not work for everyone though.

Well the idea is: if you’re right handed: use the pen for selection of tools on the right, and the left hand to touch/use the buttons/slider on the left

I got tired to that (Android does not allows for simultaneous finger and pen input) - so I just used my 8bitdo micro controller and mapped the most wanted actions/tools to it.

Btw: a freely movable widget with programmable buttons for tools, actions, etc. was already asked for several time… Seems to difficult to implement or not of high priority… It’s only a single man programming - keep that in mind.
So: you have to be creative

Yes of course. It’s unbelievable what Stéphane has created ! I can’t even begin to imagine the kind of skill and hardwork it takes to develop something this cool, haha.

Does mouse work ? If I buy a bluetooth mouse and add hotkeys to it ? would that work ?

Depends on the mouse and the mapping software…
Android is rather open here, Apple not.

Why buy a mouse and use it with a tablet? Then: rather go for a laptop and use blender…

I have a pc for that. Here I am talking about ipad and since you mentioned a game controller, I thought mouse could work as well.

… you’re the first one I know, buying a fully overprices piece of hardware, without knowing how to use it, and even trying to rob it about it’s only selling feature…

As a former android tablet user I used to think Ipad was overpriced too. But let me assure you, it’s waaaaay better than any android tablet out there. There’s no competition.
The apple pencil, the ipad itself are just better. You have to use it to believe it. Worth every penny.

LOL - have an new iPad Air as well in my family - so: I know the benefits as well

Was eager to go for a Pro because of the bright OLED, and 16GB RAM - but: man, that one is overpriced… But at least a finally, usable pen…

Still in love with my Galaxy tab s7: The Wacom One Pen (24 €) still is way better (until rotation is implemented) and I still did not reach the polygon limit in Nomad. Was a good advice from my tutor to learn sculpting correctly - to go from low to high  But rendering is a pain…

However, still peaking out for the new apple-only software… Valance really looks interesting, and Uniform too… A pity, 12GB RAM is not standard, yet. But: at least we (Android) have Blender

Finally: usable, not overpriced 3rd party hardware is arising for iPad too. Thanks to emulation… Will see, if I will switch over as well…
Only: why on earth the screen of the 11" Air is so dim?!?
