Analog sticks (L/R thumbsticks) not recognized – treated as D-pad inputs on Xbox-style controllers (Android)

Device / Setup:

  • Tablet: Wacom Movink Pad Pro 14 ( Android15 )

  • App: Nomad Sculpt version 2.8

  • Controllers tested:

    • Official Xbox controller (Bluetooth)

    • 8BitDo Lite 2 (Bluetooth)

  • Connection: Bluetooth (both controllers)

Description / What happens:
Nomad Sculpt does not properly recognize analog stick (thumbstick) input from either controller.

Instead of registering smooth/analog movement from the left or right thumbstick, the app interprets any stick deflection as discrete D-pad directions (Up / Down / Left / Right).
L/R triggers on Xbox controller not recognized at all.

This makes smooth camera orbiting, panning, or any analog-mapped action impossible — the input behaves like digital (on/off) directions only.

Expected behavior:
Analog sticks should provide continuous, proportional input (smooth values between -1.0 and 1.0), not just four digital directions.

Additional notes:
Buttons (A/B/X/Y, RB/LB etc.) appear to work normally.

No similar issue reported in other Android apps with these controllers.( can play game normally)

Yes it should be fixed on next update, 2.9.

input: fix controller and other analog based bindings
