Surface Scatter, Propagate along Curve

Having the ability to scatter objects (to simulate the appearance of feathers, fur, grass, rocks etc.).
I think it would also be really useful to expand upon your curves, currently used for making tubes, and allow objects to be scattered/propagated along that curve (chains, necklaces, staples etc).
