Snake: Hello friends, I made such a snake, I wanted to convey the dynamics of the throw, tops 1m, tell me how to reduce the grid, but not to lose the quality of textures?


Looking good, the size looks smaller though than 1m, maybe because of the FOV perspective setting.

Still wouldn’t want one of those anywhere near :slight_smile:

You can go like this to reduce the mesh density:

  • make a copy of the snake
  • remesh it (decimate or voxel remesh as you prefer probably the decimate will be better for keeping the pointy teeth)
  • Unwrap
  • Bake texture from hires

All these functions are in the topolgy menu (3rd button top row) but you won’t be able to use paint afterwards because it will have a texture unless you use ProCreate or something.
