At the moment no mirror/repeater nodes are selected when selecting with the Select Tool.
It would be great if the selection would also capture these objects.

Nah, doesn’t make sense to me to use a visual selector tool to select invisible stuffs.
I’m adding a global opacity option for icon, not really a solution to your issue but it could be helpful.
The problem is cloning / instantiating.
If you want to select and clone complete objects with a hierarchy using the select tool, this does not work. You must first make the icons visible in the hierarchy in order to be able to use the select tool to get all nodes.
