Sculpted joy

Cool look! I like the green tone a lot btw.

In detail.
Take a grid alpha on clay brush and use tiling.
Choose grab dynamic radius.
Add a layer.
Subdivide your model till you get clean lines.
Choose your camera angle and save.
Draw your grid.
Use DelLayer brush to erase grid where lights should be.
This way you can get a almost clean effect without UVs.
Sure, there are other maybe better methods, but works.

Rotational symmetry is there and it’s awesome! Awesome, awesome.

Only the addition of kaleidoscopic could make me even more happy.

Nice start!

Look forward to seeing the car finished. :+1:t2:

Thank you guys. I really stuck with the body. Thought it was a good idea to mask, extract and simple merge parts.
It wasn’t.

When doing mechanical stuff for me it’s best to go with multiple objects/parts.

Multiple objects: Yes
Extract from mask to get hollow object: Yes
Simple merge: Well, there is some unpredictable welding going on some times.

I simply didn’t find a good workflow for exactly replicating real world mechanics in Nomad….but I am on my way.

Tiny steps. Made a better profile for the tires.

I used this Panorama from Tiia Monto as an environment as well.

Using Background picture to light model is real fun. Just wish there would be a shadowcatcher material.
