Is there a way to achieve that ?
I mean without recording the screen as it turns, and if possible with a number of frames and a perfect loop, as for a gif or loopy video.

The built in iPad screen recorder is perfect for this. Just clip the start and end of the video and you have a perfect loop. You’re using the turntable feature & not turning the model manually? (activated by clicking the nomad symbol too left, in case you don’t know)

Here’s one I did earlier. Not a good gif and not the best loop.

A bit of after thought: sure you can do it with the iOS recorder but it’s sonso, as you say.
I would rather have a nice gui with features like frame rate/ number of frames, fixed point of view.
Something like Forger has if I remember well.
Anyway I am eager to push this app further and it looks promising.
