Remesh res and max detail range

From my understanding, the max detail range affects the maximum resolution of the mesh of an object, however the max detail range has a maximum of 800, a fixed number while individual objects have their vox remesh res varies as their scale changes.
I’m curious to know in what ratio does the max detail range affect the mesh resolution. Actually I’m really confused about these numbers, any explanation is welcome

Max detail range lets you increase the maximum value of the detail slider.
800 means the bounding box of the object will be sliced by 800.

You should ignore the displayed value of the voxel resolution slider.
What matters most is that if your object scale change, the slider is adjusted so that you keep the same amount of detail.
