Reactivate Quad Remesher each time I open Nomad after upgrading to 2.8

THE PLATFORM: iPad 26.2
NOMAD APP VERSION: 2.8

I’ve had a weird issue. Every since upgrading to 2.8 I’ve randomly had to click Quad Remesher and click Restore to active it again. It seems to happen ever other time I open it. This is the first time I’ve had this issue since I purchase it back in Oct 30, 2022. I’m using the same iCloud account, I’m on the internet and it restores fine. I’ve reboot, no difference. If I close down Nomad and not active, reopen it’s activated again. Doesn’t seem to matter what project I opens when this happens.

Is it worth backing up all my projects, uninstalling and reinstalling?

Another thing to note. I have two iPads. An iPad Pro M2 running IOS 26.2 and 2.8. This is the one that is having the issues. The other is a iPad Mini 6 running IOS 26.1 and 2.5. Same iCloud, same internet connect and it’s not have this issue at all. Just different IOS and Nomad versions.

Just a friendly note: NEVER uninstall Nomad Sculpt. It doesn’t help at all. This isn’t my advice, by the way—it comes from Stefane, the developer.

Some users mistakenly believe that uninstalling and reinstalling the app fixes the issue / bug. In reality, it doesn’t solve the underlying problem—it simply resets incorrect user settings, which can also be done directly within the app or by deleting the json files.

I believe your issue is more likely related to the verification process needing an active internet connection to enable Quadremesher, and maybe something isn’t working correctly there. It definitely has nothing to do with uninstalling the software, and uninstalling will not fix the problem.

In fact, uninstalling is risky: if you’re not careful, you can lose all your settings and potentially even your projects. So this is not a safe or recommended way to solve the issue.

Only waiting for a update helps …

Maybe Stephane has an answer …

I never encountered the issue so I’m not sure.
I did not change anything between 2.8 and 2.5 in term of license check.
(Only between 2.2 and 2.3)

I might have an idea though, I’ll tweak something and maybe it will fix it.
