Procedure for smoothing entire object uniformly

A technique for smoothing an entire object all at once –

  • Using selection mask, mask the entire object.
  • Set thickness height to 0./
  • Turn on smoothing and set to desired amount. (For hard surface modeling, it will smooth out visible angle changes in the polygons.)
  • Set closing action to “none”.
  • Hit the extract button. Hide or delete original object.
  • Play around “all”, “sharp border”, and “borders only” options
