Mesh Bug on Boolean

Platform: Windows 10
Nomad Sculpt 2.9.8

Not 100% sure if this is a bug or user error (the latter more likely) but I bought Nomad for my laptop a few weeks ago and am having trouble with the boolean process. My primitives are always solid until I boolean them which gives me this result. The inside becomes completely hollow with a second thin wall between what has been booleaned and the outer shape. The light brown space becomes interactable. I have tried using the close holes option, which usually gives me the issue in the second image where the mesh seems to break. It also isn’t a viable option for when I need things like eyeholes for physical prints as it closes up the whole section. Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong here?

After close holes is used.

Completely hollow inside, I can only trim through boolean trim otherwise it only trims the top layer, leaving the second layer closed

the split or trim should have closed those walls. you might have “hole filling” set to “none” accidentally in the tool settings (second button in the top right menu bar when split/trim is active)

close holes wouldn’t work then because it closes the two shells separately

Yep you’re right, that was the issue. I keep forgetting to keep track of that. Thank you so much for your help, it’s been driving me crazy. I still have lot to learn and remember :slightly_smiling_face:
