McRaven Sketchbook - Mixing 3D and 2D

Respect if you created the whole city in one day with Nomad Sculpt ! The combination of 2D and 3D is definitely great.

The city was kitbashed from a lot of 3D assets. I didn’t create every building from scratch.

So cool, thanks for share

The 1st image is rendered in Nomad!?

No. Sorry if I didn’t explain it right. The first image is what I painted from the second. The second is my Nomad render.

Many people here can render awesome things in nomad. As a painter and inker, I prefer to render a graphical image and paint from there.

Did you uploaded any your process!

Nice!

it’s kitbashing, so I suppose it’s mostly import + gizmo tool usage.

Sir i was saying how he made the 1st image using the nomad untextured render.

Thanks!

For this one, besides import and gizmo, I also merged buildings together to create new ones, sculpted terrain, and played a lot with lights, matcaps, composing shots and saving views. I have about 17 camera views I would like to paint (but I won’t ).

Changed the thread name to a sketchbook. Hope to post more often and use more 3D and VR in my workflow. Here are some recent sketches:

Can you show captures of GS? I’m too use sometimes GS and the workflow is very interesting

Sure! Here are a few. I find it really immersive and intuitive. I’m even box modeling again, something I thought I would never do in the rest of my life!

very interesting, so then you create the blocking and the whole scenery in GS, I used time ago GS to prototype quickly and kitbash with elements created on Blender to test the compositions.

Well I’m using it for only a month, so I’m still figuring it out. But since I don’t use a desktop computer, blocking things on GS, and them proceed to detail, light and render on Nomad, and them work on Procreate seems like a very cool workflow. Quest 2 and IPad only.
