I generated a mesh from a triplaner - assigned the same material with exactly the same color + roughness/metal
It is however darker. And the light is inverted in the material window. I did rotate the triplanar box when I created it. Normal stuck?, I also rotated the HDRI.
I flushed masking, no layers, retopo-ed, no change. The lighting is stuck rotated 90degrees

That’s because the environment is not attached to the camera.
I’m not sure having the material preview updating each frame when you rotate the camera is the best behavior.
Considering it’s a material preview and not a lighting one I could even use another fixed environment.
I could check what the other softwares are doing (substance, toolbag, unreal, blender, etc)
