Just Sketch Me into Nomad Sculpt

Just Sketch Me into Nomad Sculpt

Hi everyone!

I’m new to Nomad Sculpt and I seriously need some help…
The presets are fun, but I prefer using an app called Just Sketch Me. The 3D models they have are already rigged and I can set to work on posing the character.

The problem:
When I export the model into Nomad, I can’t edit the model (IE: add clothing with the mask/extraction tool) without things going wild.

How do I make the exported model comparable with Nomad Sculpt.
Doesn’t anyone else use Just Sketch Me?!

I’ve never used Just Sketch Me but you can download posable figures and import into nomad. However, unless they’re already broken into a hierarchy, you’ll have to do it yourself. I’m guessing that’s why you may be having difficulty with your models from Just Sketch Me.

There are multiple models for nomad for free which are ready to be posed. Take a look at THIS post and you can get some models.

Also, look up @Holger_Schoenischka on the forums here as well as his YouTube channel: @ProcreateFX
He has some really in depth tutorials and I’ve seen him cover posing and mask extracting. He’s a great resource.

Thank you for your time and consideration!

The models from Just Sketch Me are fine; it’s just the exported models have a very high topology, and I was wondering if there was a way to reduce it without diminishing/decimating the details.

I think I know what to do:
In Nomad Sculpt: use the posable preset, and then: import the posed preset to Just Sketch Me: try to recreate the pose of the Nomad Sculpt to get specific poses: like hands and feet(?). Once the specific hand pose is done, export the model from Just Sketch Me into Nomad Sculpt and remove everything except the hands and feet.

The problem I have with Nomad Sculpt’s presets: there are no posable fingers!
In Just Sketch Me you can pose the fingers. So, I was thinking of importing the model into Nomad, and deleting/trimming everything but the hands. From there, I’ll add the hands to the preset’s hierarchy.

Now, I just have to figure out how to sculpt facial expressions…

Do you know how I can cancel my subscription to the Nomad Sculpt forum? Thanks.
