Hi everyone! I decided to step away from my usual pipeline for a bit and try Nomad Sculpt. I wanted to see what kind of result I could get while working on a character. It already feels very powerful and has a really good set of tools. Here’s what came out of it. Thanks for taking a look!
Awesome! Out of curiosity, what is your usual pipeline?
Hello! Just ZBrush (high poly), Blender (retopo, UV mapping), Substance Painter (texturing) — a standard game-dev pipeline. Thanx.
COOL! I knew thisis ZBrush.
Great old guy!
You wrote ZBrush. The reason my message.
Nice work! Love the details.
How did you apply the details on the clothes and face inside nomad?
Usually the standard pipeline starts with ZBrush, but this time I decided to try Nomad to get more into it. All the work was done in Nomad, with just a little bit of Blender for some basic shapes. I used three textures for some surface detail, and everything else was made by hand in Nomad.
COOL! I also come from ZBrush and I am learning now nomad which until now I personally find cooler to sketch fast.
At the moment I am doing only sketches using nomad and I have not reach all the potential of nomad like texture, properly uv workflow, maps, bake, etc…
At the moment I just having fun sculpting and sketching fast on nomad.
I hope I will have the time to learn faster.
How long took you reach at this level using nomad?
And how long took you to build this model using nomad?
I was learning the program and making the character at the same time, and it took me 5–6 days. I use Nomad only on PC because it depends a lot on RAM, and on my Samsung Galaxy Tab deep detailing is not really possible. I was missing some functions that are available in ZBrush, but I can see that Nomad is developing very fast now. I think in the future they will add similar functions or maybe even better solutions. I really liked working with curves.
REALLY COOL!
5-6 days is a short time to learn the program. EXCELLENT!
OH HELL YES!!! I love the curves a substitution of the zSpheres and nomad added a lot more things to the curve system and is soooo powerful!
Have a lot of fun using nomad! ![]()
And hope to see your work more often here!
Thank you very much for your kind wishes. I wish you the same. YouTube tutorials and searching for information with ChatGPT helped me a lot while learning the program. Good luck!
Really nice work, loving to see more people coming over.
