Jaggy lines when use Alphas

Yes, with dyntopo. Did you try subdividing the mesh 3 or 4 times?
Can you upload one of your alpha to test?

Do you mean subdivide the mesh before paint with dynotopo ?

There’s the mesh for test, I choose one of the most problematic.

With 4 subdivisions.

Is that default sphere with 4 subdivision and dynotopo activated ? Can I see your poly count and grid?

Idk, yours seems a lot better than mine, like in the tutorial. I need to find out what’s wrong with mine !

Anyway there are 2.16 mil vertices, there are pretty good res and It works quite well also for me (even on my slow ipad). But the question how Razum has a decent amount of details at 500k vertices is still a mistery for me :frowning:

When you finish the model or the separated elements of your model you should decimate them, the vertices decrement
Working with dyntopo is more efficient to keep low the vertices for details, so block the model and voxel remesh to 150-200, add forms and model, when you need more detail remesh again until 300, redefine again and when you want to add alphas add a)remesh to 500-600 or b)subdivisions
At the finish decimate until you check that some detail begins to disappear.
Keep a copy of your high model.

Also, you could before starting with alphas and so, use Blender or other apps for retopo your model, export from Nomad, and one-time repoto is finish bring back to Nomad for alphas.

This is more or less my workflow.

The Test Alpha works fine, both test meshes have a polycount of about 30 k after decimation and the lines are sharp.

Okey I think I got the right pipeline: working details at nearly 1.5 mil vertices, then decimate around 20%.
Or, work with Dynotopo at 500 then decimate around 10%.

one last thing @Holger_Schoenischka how do you get the cool shading in the right sphere?
