How to create objects like a bottle cap?

What I mean by “objects like a bottle cap” is like any cylinder objects with certain patterns all around it…

Do I only need to use radial symmetry to create the patterns or there’s a hidden trick to make it?

I was watching a blender tutorial to make a plastic bottle, which I thought I could do in Nomad Sculpt by using the lathe tool.

But then he started to shape the bottle cap…

You can either use radial symmetry for sculpting the indentations, or use a radial repeater to place smaller cylinders that you can subtract from the big cylinder using booleans or subtracting by voxel remeshing.

If it’s supposed to be a more realistic bottlecap with a hollow bottom probably the first option is easier
