Draw directly on the low-poly model

I hope the texture can be painted on the “low poly” to have a clear pattern, although I know I can use the “high poly baking” method.

But if you can draw directly on the low-poly model, you can greatly reduce the production time and tablet performance consumption.

i dont know if this is what you need but you can use dynamic topolgy and draw with high res on low poly!

Yeah, I’ve used this method too :slight_smile:
However, the mesh will increase depending on the complexity of the drawing, and the tablet will get hot, so baking will be necessary in the end. If there are too many items, it will take a lot of waiting time.

I am using Android and have tried other software (3D modeling, D3D, etc.).
They can be painted directly on the low poly model, but the software is too old and the effect is not good…
I really enjoy using Nomad Scuplt, so it would be great to have this feature.

Youd need a function to create or import and draw on an uv/texturemap for that so everything aligns.
Nomad only has polypainting atm. (I dont think its stephomis priority atm so it might be quite a while before we get anything like that its been requested a few times i think :sweat_smile:)
You could try use an artprogram to draw on a flat exported texturemap.
