Brushstrokes pixelated

II’m having a small problem with the painting tool. I want to draw something on a sculpture, but the line is getting completely pixelated. A few days ago, I found a solution to the problem myself by checking or removing a check mark somewhere. I’ve already raised the mesh, but unfortunately, that didn’t help. I’m slowly running

out of ideas. I hope someone can help me.

Despite your claims of increasing subdivisions (“raising the mesh”), you’re only at 400k vertices as the top left specs indicate.

Bumping up an additional subdivision shows crisp edges in this side-by-side

Turning on the wireframe for both makes the 400k’s vertices more apparent and should clue you in on what’s going on.
