ArtKeyboard for Nomad and Procreate Bluetooth

Hi everyone,

I would like to present a project I’m being working on I’ts a DIY bluetooth keyboard for Nomad and Procreate. I am an artist and I love to use iPad but it felt so inconvenient to use tools around distracting graphic interface. I felt slow. I also love making inventions, so I did my own art keyboard which allowed me to draw without interruptions. I’ve did few versions and for my latest I even printed a 3D case. Please have a look.

Very cool! I picked up a Nice!nano awhile back with plans to build something similar, but mine was going to grab onto the corner of the iPad:

would be cool to have more keystroke like remesh I think it would improve the workflow with keyboard

i made an accessory like that but I’m not sure if is necessary for my way of work

How about a companion phone app with customisable UI for favourite tools, menu settings, alphas, materials, etc.?

Arrange your most used settings all it one place and save as project presets or work type settings (sculpting or texturing)

Wouldn’t impact main UI design and each artist could arrange as they see fit… just a thought

Was my first thought as well. But is there something like this existing? Is it possible at all? I remember Procreate once tried to integrate the Apple Watch, but drop this quickly after….If I remember correctly? But a phone would be offering serious space for this.

Not sure about the technicalities but assume it would be similar to this sort of thing…

OBS Protocol, alright. Thanks! But no direct IOS integration I assume.

Ok, I don’t get it: why not simply use an other bluetooth device (e.g. Switch Joycon) and remap? Just wondering…

Still hoping a way to map radius and intensity increase/decrease to separate joystick axes.

my main idea is to release space on screen, give you tactile input and use the second hand
a workflow I’m use to use on the computer

I mean … there isn’t a remapping capability on iOS, at least.

Just bringing up this old topic as I just learnt: IOS 16 will natively support Nintendo Joycons.

So - there might be hope for a key mapper or an integration/support option.

There use to be an app similar but it didn’t too much of a following.
