Just bought the software and played around with various settings and made some sculpts. I love it.

However, suddenly the subtract, smooth and mask button no longer stay toggled on when I tick them. They’re not greyed out and keeping the button pressed works but I know they’re meant to be toggleable as it did so for me earlier…

What gives?

I had that happen to me as well. Took me quite a while to figure it out. Somehow the toggle for it had switched off.

If you go to the “Interface” drop down at the top, look under “Left Buttons” and check to see if “Sub/Smooth/Mask toggle is unchecked.
