Hâve you tutorials or tips and trick for sculpt so cleany
Some amazing work Adam. Respect!!
I don’t know about tricks but I will say what I usually do. I use the pinch brush a lot to clean edges up. I also use the topology brush using the smooth brush on 0-5% to add more topology in certain areas and to take away in areas that are not needed.
It’s basically a lot of pinching and dragging to make areas tidier and remeshing a lot. Also I use the trim tool to clean areas.
When I create a model I use layers a lot so I can make subtle changes and to easily go back to a previous time. I can over sculpt and make an okay model look worse.
When creating a figure I will have multiple objects. Separate head, torso, arms, legs and hands. Easier to swap bits out and to work on one piece at a time. You can remesh things together when needed.
I also work on multiple sculpts so I don’t get bored. I have a quite few sculpts that I don’t post until I know it looks okay. Just play with each tool on a sphere and see what you can do with it’s settings.
Oh and zoom in and out and rotate a lot to see if things look okay at different angles.
Thanks Jorgensen.
Also lighting. Lighting can really lift an average sculpt. With a main light source, a fill light and a rim light can make a model pop out. Post process is also important.
Working on the two versions of Gizmo from Gremlins and Gremlins 2. The 1984 Gizmo still needs a lot of tweaking.
That’s brilliant, but oh for that “fur” brush. We live in hope.
I am looking forward to the new Procreate 3d painting update, but it seems to be taking a while……
That is brilliant! You are so on fire, Adam!
Are you doing the complete club?
@Drmabuse the fur is not paint only, it’s carved and sculpted in 3D. Something you won’t be able to do in Procreate in the near and far future. Probably never. They announced 3D painting. Very likely on UVs. When you are lucky with bump maps.
It’s more likely that we get a complete 3D hair tool for Nomad earlier than anything 3D fur like in Procreate to be honest. But we’ll see.
Awesome, as always!
Yes it’s based on UV, so it won’t work with meshes exported from Nomad.
Maybe I’ll do an automatic UV computation as an export function some time, nothing sure for now.
Thanks Drmabuse. Yes I look forward to see how good Procreate 3d painting will be.
Thanks. I’ll probably work my way round to doing them all.
Yes fur would be nice but there’s other things I would like to see before that. Fur is great but something I can wait for or cope with out it to have other great tools instead.
Thanks Stéphane.
A few turntables of recent work.
Turntable of George and Kath. Still a work in progress and not looking forward to painting George’s check shirt.
Great stuff. Loved that movie as a kid
Perfect! Movie: Flight of the Navigator!
