Wintab32.dll error when launching 2.3.28 beta

Hi!

Nomad Sculpt 2.3.23 runs fine on my Surface Laptop Studio device, but when I launch the beta versions 2.3.26 or 2.3.28, I get the following error…

Both betas run fine on my desktop computer, and this happens only when I run the betas on the Surface.

The Surface is running the latest Win 11, RTX 3050 ti with the latest drivers, and has a Core i7 processor, not Snapdragon. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Additional info…

After I clicked OK in the message, 2.3.28 beta froze with a black screen. I had to force quit via Task Manager.

Later, I tried again, and got the same error message, but when I clicked OK this time, the program appeared to run fine…I even had pressure sensitivity with the Surface pen.

I haven’t used the beta long enough to see if there are other issues running on the Surface, and I’m mainly asking about why the error pops up. Is this a new bug that appears only on certain computer configurations? Can I fix this on my own?

As mentioned earlier, I only see this message on the Surface laptop, and not on my desktop computer. Also, I do not see this message on the Surface when I launch the 2.3.23 release.

The wintab error can be ignored (I shouldn’t display a popup though, but I’ll change that).

However it should work fine afterwards.

Awesome! Thank you for the helpful info and for resting my concerns. Please keep up the great work! :grinning_cat:
