Wavy artifacts

Hi,

There are wavy artifacts visible on the model’s surface. The same happens with smoth on or off.

Macosx Ventura 13.7.8 with 24Gb and Radeon Pro 580X 8 GB

Only on old Mac + AMD.

Try turning postprocess grain to see if it fixes the issue.
Or in the debug menu → 16 bit
Or maybe “low power GPU” → ON then restart.

Normally on Mac I should default to Intel GPU but looks like it doesn’t work and still rely on the AMD…

Yes, with grain postprocess improve the results and hide the effect.

Any chance to fix it  for old macs?

Thanks for answer

No I won’t fix it, I can’t replicate it and don’t know what the issue is.
And you didn’t answer the other question (I suppose it didn’t work)

Apologies, I don’t read the complete reply, I received by mail your reply and only show “Only on old Mac + AMD. Try turning postprocess grain to see if it fixes the issue.” and I responded directly from the email rather than through the forum, so my reply wasn’t posted under your thread.

Now I test 16bit and low power GPU and doesn’t work, same wavy artifacs.

Just open Nomad and the wavy artifacts appear, PBR or Matcap

I don’t have an old Mac with AMD, do you know if you can force the integrated GPU instead of the ATI one?

Normally I tried to switch to it by default on Mac but it doesn’t seem to work.

My mac is an iMac until I know I can’t force this.
