UV Atlas unwrapping

hey my unwrapping stoppes always at exactly 33.333 percent and then goes very slow or not at all anymore… anyone has any tips for fast and easy unwrapping… this feels wrong even tho the object is not too difficult to unwrapp.

How many vertices?

ok its actually alot of vertices - over 500 k… so i should better reduce the vertices by decimate the mesh?
