Hello. I need a bit of help .I’m total noob in this so I would like to say sorry and thank you in advance for help that i can get here
I I scanned part of my car and I would like do make some new part to it .
How to make it that I will lock scanned part and just sculpt new things over it then print it .
Very high level directions:
Mask the car scan.
Two ways of getting the part around the scan:
- Add a primitive and start sculpting. Subtract the car scan out of it.
- Extrude/Extract a shell of the masked car scan and sculpt on that.
Thank you very much ![]()
Hi, I’m new here but working on a similar problem
On my old Mercedes, a plastic interior trim piece broke. It has fairly complex geometry, and I want to recreate it as a replacement.
Am I understanding correctly that you first scanned the real part and then refined it in Nomad Sculpt?
Also, how did you get a good-quality scan to start with? I tried RealityCapture and spent a lot of time on it, but the result was honestly pretty bad.
Now I’m considering paid alternatives like Artec Studio - at least it seems more reliable, and the monthly subscription isn’t completely insane.
Please correct me if I’m wrong anywhere - I’m a complete beginner ![]()
