Low Poly with sharp masks?

Hi!

new user here

First -

This is a fantastic software. OMG, thanks!

So bear in mind that i have not a perfect understanding of the program.

My question / suggestion is this-

Would it be easily possible to accomplish some kind of low poly modeling if we could have sharp masks? I have played with quad remesher, face groups and masks and I can achieve good results with these. But the problem is that mask selection is not allways possible to set to topology mesh. Mask is little bit grey and somewhere triangular. So if the the sharpen button would really sharpen the mask to a face group selection that would be cool ? And maybe easy to program without any drawbacks. Or is there a good workaround for this ?

Ok - I got more info about this.

Maybe this is not so easy to fix. My understanding now is this. Nomad works with vertexes. Faces are calculated. So if one vertex for face is masked and another is not then the face gets values in between.

So i guess I have to study more. Maybe in the future there is a setting where mask can be selected by a face or something similar

You can mask Facegroups - is this not enough ? When you extract the masked FG you get the exact border of the Facegroup.

Hi. Thanks. Well - yes, extract works!

I tried previously with gizmo.
