Layer becomes invisible when show paint

Hello all, I’m very new to this program (and 3d modeling in general), so please don’t bash me too hard

I have an issue where whenever i show paint on one specific layer, it turns invisible. Ive gone through every setting I could find to see if it was a mistake on my part, but I cant figure out what is causing it.

Go in the painting menu and set the opacity slider to 1.0 then hit the paint brush button next to it.
(And then probably best to disable the opacity checkbox, unless you really want to paint transparent area on your mesh)
