Apologies if this is already in the software and I have somehow missed it. I’m actually quite surprised to not see it in the feature request list, since it is how everyone I know begins a sculpt in Zbrush.
Coming from Zbrush, the best way to block (character) stuff out has always been to use the IMM Primitives brush + split masked. Manually adding the primitives in NS is such a chore that I uploaded a few Blockout Meshes to google drive as starting points. Without IMM brushes it’s hard for me to consider NS an A-Z tool.
Again if there is a way to do this I apologize and would love to know how :).
