Hi there
Just starting to delve into nomadsculpt and I’m tussling a bit with the 2 finger pinch and drag interactions. Very often when I’m in the midst of sculpting I’ll go to zoom of drag with 2 fingers and it it will take me into a rotation instead. Is there an option or technique I’m missing maybe?
If generally seems to be fine if I’m not sculpting, and only really happens when sculpting with the pen (ive turned off all camera interactions with the pen)
Thanks for any help you can give
Nick
Usually, in my experience, that happens when I lift a finger slightly while zooming/panning. Too light of a touch on the screen will do that to me. I just remind myself to press harder next time.
But, you can always lock the View Sphere (or cube depending on your settings). Either long press on it, or there’s a small lock next to it that you can press as well. Now you can zoom/pan with no possibility of rotating. Then unlock when you need to.
hi. thanks for the help
I don’t seem to be be able to figure out anything I’m doing that triggers it to be honest. Sometimes ill just go to pinch zoom or 2 finger drag and it will just go int a rotation instead :-/
its odd if no-one else experiences it which is why I thought it might be a setting thing. These kind of interactions seem to be working fine in procreate and zbrush
There’s also the possibility that it’s the screen itself. As soon as I get small hitches in movement, I usually clean my screen. That will usually help. I can get a lot of grease on my fingers with my job and often I’ll get straight to Nomad without thinking. Tends to get on the screen and cause issues.
yeah I thought that but after washing and drying my hands and cleaning the screen nothing changes. I definitely think it’s either the way im interacting with things or a setting somewhere. (im left handed if that makes a difference).
Maybe check your Palm Rejection setting? Disable / Enable it and change its size?
It sounds like it’s turning 2-finger interactions into a 1-finger interaction. I’ve noticed the Palm Rejection can sometimes alter interactions in this way.
Other than that, try spreading your fingers more?
