Having problems with the paint tool

Hey everyone. So I am following a tutorial from Dave Reed, however I am having trouble with the coloring.

(since i am a new user here, i can only put one photo per post so check the comments to see how mine look)
So compared to Dave Reeds tutorial, my colors look almost washed down/mixed with gray, while Dave’s look like bright neon orange. I am wondering is it possible to import a different color palate to this app? Could he perhaps be using a different color palate, and perhaps that could be the problem? I tried adjusting environment exposure etc, but these didn’t fix my problem. Can a knowledgeable person about this topic help me?

It’s not really a case of palettes when painting in 3D as a particular shade of colour is affected by light and its colour/intensity

you can also use different colour spaces and FX in post processing but that is usually something for more final render looks and styles or as part of an advanced colour pipeline process

edit just did a quick eyeball colour match, try typing in the hex code colour directly and matching that exposure and see how it looks…

maybe also check your screen brightness
