Hi all. New here and loving it!
I’m trying to color an object and I’m not sure I can gradient color the object. I know there is a gradient option for the background.
I’d really appreciate any help on this.
There’s no direct gradient tools, but you can get there with other means. Eg say you wanted a red to purple gradient across a head:
-fill the object with red
-use the selmask tool to lasso half the head with a mask
-use the operations menu, blur slider at the bottom to blur it into a very soft mask
-fill the object with purple
Similarly you can use an alpha of a gradient to paint a mask, or use the blur button with the mask toolbar.
The other option would be to paint the gradient you want in a painting app like procreate, and stamp it onto your model, but the blurred mask method is more immediate.
Yet another option is just use a really big brush, with a soft falloff curve, low intensity, and just gradually build up the gradient like you’re using an airbrush.
