First, enable Numerical Input on the Gizmo tool settings.
Second, click on “Snap” on the Gizmo tool ribbon. This displays the Snap value box.
Dragging the slider changes the value, however the upper limit is 12.57. Clicking on it and typing a value doesn’t allow you to set a snap above that value either. If you type in 90, for example, then the snap value gets set to 9 when you press the OK button.
You also have to set the angle toggle to 5 degrees for the custom setting to be applied. If you set the angle to 45 degrees and then set a custom value, the snap is still set to 45 when you use the rotate, so you have to set the toggle back to 5 degrees, then change the custom value for it to apply properly.
Finally, setting a custom value, such as 5 and then dragging to change the snap value changes the upper limit. As mentioned, it defaults to a maximum of 12.57 degrees, however if you set the value manually to 5 then the maximum becomes 12.5 instead of 12.57
