Nice, looks like there is some of the new subsurface scattering in the first picture. If so, it looks great. I really get the idea of how thin the tip is with the light emanating through. If it’s not SS, would love to know how you did it.
Yep, good catch! Initially I had the default SSS red-ish colors but then I experimented with changing the color to be blue-ish and that lead me to the path of making this a frost dagger. So I have a strong light behind the dagger which helps reveal the SSS and then from the “front camera view” I support it by adding saturated lights to make the desired angles and shapes pop.
