File sizes

When exploring model for a 3D printing, the file size is pretty high. I heard that to print something, say 2 1/2 inches.

  1. The object in Nomad needs to be the same, is that true?
  2. Can’t a 3D printer, make it almost make it any size?

Anyways thanks everyone.

When you say the “file size is quite high” what does that mean? Do you mean when you exported, the file size is a lot of mb? Or that the object is too big in the printer?

  • Large file size (mb) - you can decimate it, removing unneeded geometry and reducing the file size (mb)
  • Large size object - you can scale the object down in nomad sculpt or in your 3D printers slicer, to any size as long as it fits within your printer’s capabilities.
