I have exported a model as STL and it is huge. It is 950 MB. On a new MacBook Cura cannot even open this file due to the size. I have plenty of models that are way more detailed and they are a 10th of the size of my STL. Is there any recommendation in reducing the STL after exporting from Nomad?
I ended up using Meshmixer to reduce the file size. It cut it in half.
But I’m struggling to know when to subdivide versus remeshing in Nomad. It’s doesn’t seem like anyone can explain why you’d use one over the other. Should you stick with one or the other if the end goal is to 3D print the final model.
