Blend Shapes?

Hey everyone!
Is this intended to be possible?:

  • Create mesh
  • Create vertex offsets on layer
  • Don’t change vertex count (vertex order stays the same?)
  • Import mesh variants to Blender as shape keys

You can export glTF, it supports layers.
Blender only supports offset, not painting.
