Hi guys, I’m still fairly new to 3D modeling and using Nomad , I have probably about 3 months knowledge just from doing a course. I’m working on figuring out how to make chainmail and I’m using OriginalWerks’s YouTube video but I’m stuck on the part where when you apply the paint + triplanar it’s supposed to cover the whole area but it seems to be doing it in blocks for me, not only this but it seems to get really sharp edges or just doesn’t look clean like his in the video. I’m really confused on what to do. I tried to share a bunch of photos but I was prompted saying that I can only post one media link because I’m a new user.
Here’s the link Nomad Sculpt Tutorial: Chainmail by OriginalWerks.
Using Triplanar at 1.0 scale in the Triplanar settings - Blocks of the models and not covering the whole model. This looks better than when I set the scale really high for the chainmail but it’s still not as clean as OriginalWerks’, and like I said.. blocky.
If I set the Scale much, much higher trying to resolve the blockiness I was getting, it works coverage-wise, sort of, but this creates a pixelation type effect and kind of makes it look like a sweater with the fuzziness’s of it lol.
Any help with this would be amazing. I can’t really find any videos that are using similar steps to the ones described in the video.
