Tourbox Elite Plus compatibility (rotary input trigger duration, and intensity+/- shortcut mapping)

I picked up a Tourbox Elite Plus for use with Nomad Sculpt on my Ipad. I’ve got it setup almost perfectly for my workflow. However, it seems that mapping any of the rotary inputs to a shortcut in Nomad results in it triggering only about 20% of the time. When i assign the same shortcut to a button the shortcut triggers normally. I asked about this issue on the Tourbox subreddit, and they appear to be aware of the issue. They confirmed my suspicion that the rotary inputs aren’t triggering the shortcut key long enough for Nomad to register consistently.

Also, i’m only able to map keypresses or a couple basic gestures (pinch and rotate) to a rotary input, meaning that there is no way to map intensity+/- to the Tourbox. Brush size has individual mappings for + and -, it feels like intensity should have that as well.

It’s been fantastic so far apart from the dial, knob and scroll wheel being effectively useless in Nomad. I use a bunch of different software for my work and the Tourbox automatically switching profiles based on what window is active on my desktop (autoswitching doesn’t work on Ipad) made it easy to justify the purchase. However, if you’re only using it for nomad, you might as well just pick up a numpad until the rotary inputs are supported

Yah, I just picked up a $20 8Bitdo Micro and it works great. I would have loved to get a Tourbox Elite Plus but it’s crazy expensive in Canada even off Amazon.

Any luck mapping tool intensity to a rotary wheel?

i just checked again, an it looks like they’ve fixed both issues. Rotary inputs now work as expected and tool intensity + and - have their own bindings bindings. Thank you Nomad Team!

I just got the Elite Plus for Christmas. Can you share your mappings for Nomad with me so that I can set this new amazing tool up? I am using the windows version.

Did you know if you goto Tourbox’s website, Downloads > Presets. Click on 3D Modeling. Nomad is in the list.

To install the .tbx file

  1. Download: Get the .tbx preset file and save it to your iPad’s Files app.

  2. Locate File: Open the Files app and find your downloaded .tbx preset file.

  3. Share: Long-press (or tap the “…”) the file and choose the Share option.

  4. Select App: Select the TourBox Console app from the share sheet.

  5. Confirm: The app will ask to import; confirm, and the preset will appear in your list.

Thank you but that is for iPad only not the windows version. I tried to install what was there and they all failed. I just need an image of key bindings and such and I will make it myself. I just created one for Plasticity.
