Tinkerings

Yoshers! This one was tough. I’m not 100% finished with it but for now it’s good. I want to rework the hands someday.

I’m getting a better grasp of some basic rigging/animating in Blender. This stuff is so fun. I haven’t put any time into learning how to render yet.

I’ve been tinkering with a facehugger for the last few days.

I added some eyes, just doing my own thing with it.

Not done yet.

A twitch friend of mine goes by popcorn cannon and I was hanging in stream the other day and felt the inspiration to see if I could make that. lol I love silly stuff like this.

I’m messing around with trying to create a “stinger” video transition for switching scenes.

This is still a rough WIP

Up until this project, I’ve spent about 2-5 hours on these. I aimed higher with this one and put in ~14 hours over 5 streams. This has 261 objects. lol

Thanks dude!

Lil Batman from this weekend. I started out trying to make the Batman from the 90s animated series but I couldn’t get the ears/mask right so I just rolled my own silly looking one. lol It was a blast. Took almost 10.5 hours. I was super intimidated with trying to sculpt the cape but with enough profile tinkering on the tube function, I landed somewhere I could live with. This program is bananas.

What’s Batman without the Joker? I gave it a shot anyway. It started out looking like a toony monkey and I’m ok with that, it’s a fun character either way.

Thanks to @SporkFuMaster sharing his incredible process on sculpting eyes, I tried to aim a little higher.

Just doodling ended up in a goblin type of thing. Big silly ears are always fun.

Goofing around addition. lol

I picked up a Bambu Labs A1 Mini during the black friday sale and man is it awesome! I can’t really get clean pictures of these things, the glossy white pla always ends up looking slightly out of focus but these prints are great.

I’m still very much learning but my sculpts are printing just fine. What a time to be alive, doodle 3D stuff chilling on the couch, send it to the printer and there is it.

Last year I started drawing this little monster dudes. I completely forgot about them and doodling in Nomad today, I subconsciously started making one and just rolled with it. It’s sparked my interest in them again and now I’m gonna dive in. lol They’re so fun.

Just realized I hadn’t been here in a little while. I’ve been focusing on sculpting faces that all fit on the same body, 3D printing stuff. Interchangeable.

I ended up making little stands that can also be mounted on the wall, hunter style. Just rotate the head.

My new goal is to sculpt 50 faces this year, I’m not sure I’m going to get there but I’m looking forward to giving it a shot.

I also made another chubby xeno
