Reference image greyed out?

Hi I just bought this app and I noticed that the reference image is grey? I cannot import any photos or files into the background and even though this seems to be a common bug here it still hasn’t been fixed? The latest posts about it were two years ago in 2021

This is what I mean btw. When I hit the box it doesn’t do anything

What box did you hit? You have to hit Import first.
