Orange tint to colours

when painting on a mesh with the opaque material, every single one of my colours has an orange tint to them. tried testing to see if it were the lights but it doesn’t seem so (using PBR, no post processing, no additional lights other than environment, changing the environment image does nothing, rotation of environment light does nothing). any way to fix this permanently? changing the material to blending (with opacity below 1.000) or refractive does help to some degree but they have their drawbacks (like causing fragments of the mesh to disappear).
