Option to save ref image settings with saved view?

I’m using camera view to snap back to my reference image for checking position/proportions, but it would be nice if I could store ref image settings (position, scale, etc) along with a camera view, so that I can adjust them for normal work, then have a quick snap to overlap my work on top of the reference, without having to write down/remember what the settings were.

If that makes sense?

Alternately, an option to have multiple reference images, each locked to a specific camera position (Right, Front, Top, etc.)
